August 1856 when a child was born in a humble cottage in the pretty hamlet of Chempazhanthi near Trivandrum,
no one knew it marked
the dawn of the most remarkable epoch in the social evolution of Kerala.
This child was to blossom forth as the great sage Sree Narayana,
the most revolutionary social reformer Kerala has produced.
To have proper appreciation of the magnitude of Sree Narayana's achievements, it is necessary to understand the
background of the social conditions in which he was born and brought up.
Kerala, reputed for its natural beauty and richness of life, was alas, the accursed
land of caste tyranny at that time;
to such an extent that it was really a "lunatic asylum" as Swami Vivekananda branded it...
M.P.M.M.S.N.Trusts College established in 1981 managed by the Sree Narayana Trusts, Kollam
has been included in the list of colleges under 2(f) and 2( b) of the UGC act 1956 in June 2003.
The college Re-Accredited in 2014 is running 6 UG courses. B.Com, BBA, B A Functional English, B A Economics,
B.Sc Physics, B.Sc Chemistry, and 6 PG Courses – M.Com-Finance, M.Sc Mathematics, M.Sc. Geology, M.A English Literature, M.Sc Physics and M.Sc Chemistry.
The first three belong to the regular stream and the rest are Self Financing Courses.
The college offers quality education and maintains consistently high academic standards,
giving students equal opportunity for improving themselves and bettering their own life.
The prime aim of the college is to reach out to students from socially and economically backward sections of society,
and to equip them with the necessary skills and education to meet the challenges of a rapidly changing world.
Our Management, Alumni and the Former Teachers Association form the backbone of the institution.
Guided by the light of the great Sree Narayana Guru, the college will always strive to expel the darkness of ignorance
and to illumine the minds with wisdom through learning.
Political Activism is banned in the campus, parliamentary mode election as per Court Order and Uniform dress code is implemented.
Under CCTV surveillance and ban of mobile phones, the campus offers a holistic and disciplined atmosphere with emphasis on academic excellence
and character formation.
